Extension overview
What Thumbsy adds to YouTube, at a glance.
Once installed, Thumbsy adds four things to YouTube — no separate app to switch to:
Context menu
Right-click any thumbnail to save it, save it for later, or pull its colors.
The Studio overlay
A full-page overlay for building and exporting styled thumbnail cards.
Color palette tools
Extract hex codes from a single thumbnail or an entire channel.
Bulk select & export
Checkbox-select many thumbnails and export them as a ZIP or grid image.
TODO: add image — Annotated screenshot of a YouTube page with all four Thumbsy entry points highlighted (context menu, top-bar icon, palette panel, bulk-select checkboxes)
Where Thumbsy shows up
| Surface | What you'll see |
|---|---|
| Any thumbnail (home, search, channel, sidebar) | A menu item added to the existing thumbnail menu, and a checkbox in its corner |
| YouTube's top bar | A Thumbsy icon next to the voice-search button |
| Channel pages | An Extract colors button next to Subscribe/Share |
Everything the extension saves syncs to your account automatically — see Sign in if you haven't connected an account yet, and the webapp dashboard for where your saves end up.
